Next destination, hope ? "You should wait", are constantly saying the authorities. Wait that the Ukrainain administration decides whether the clandestines should be sended back in their homecountry or not. And in the last case, providing them the authorizations to stay temporarily in Ukraine.

Shoukria is posing with her 8 months baby, with whom she has flew Afganistan, few months ago, mainly because of Talebans rebellion. Her husband paid nearly 8 000 dollars to a ‘passeur’ who guided them across Russia and provided them false russian ID, before abandonning them in the middle of the woods, circling the slovakian-ukrainian border.

Time is often passing very slow in Mukachevo retention’s center. Ukrainian government lack the financial means to organise the travel back of the clandestines to their home country -a trip that costs up to 500 dollars pro person- . Ambassies are often expected to take in charge those fees. Pakistanese and Indian embassies are very reluctant to do so, an attitude that explains why their ressortissants can stay up to 6 months in Mukachevo.
